Halogen Downlights

Under the new laws a heat hood needs to be used in almost all locations. The cut out hole is the same size as a standard down light for easy installation. (92-95mm)

We recommend purchasing energy saving IRC (Infra Red Coating) lamps. 50watts=35watts (5000 hours). If you have approximately 50 down lights on 4 hours a day, you will save $175 on your electricity bill every year.

If you wish to put in dimmers in your existing light switch it is important to select the correct dimmer.
For example 32E450UDM, is recommended for all lights except compact energy saving fluorescents.
For 50watt downlights you can only have a maximum of 8 lights connected to one dimmer.
